Dantra A/S, one of the largest tank logistics providers in the Nordic region, is expanding east of the Great Belt. The company can now announce the acquisition of U.L.R. Transport, which, based in Snertinge, offers tank transportation of, among other things, chemicals. At the same time, a contract has been signed with Statoil, which with effect from July 1 ensures Dantra all fuel transportation to the chain's stations on Zealand.
We want to expand and strengthen our platform on Zealand, and with the acquisition of U.L.R.R. Transport and the new facilities in Køge, we will have a strong foundation for expansion. U.L.R. Transport is a long-standing colleague and, like Dantra, U.L.R. is a well-known company with extensive experience. This is one of the reasons why we are a good match.
- Kenneth Jensen, Managing Director Dantra A/S
Uffe Lønborg Rasmussen, who founded U.L.R. Transport in 1984, makes no secret of the fact that today's high demands on transport companies have accelerated his plans for a generational change.
Laws, regulations and customers are placing greater demands on transport companies, especially in a niche area like ours. It is clear that the needs for approvals, certifications and quality management are contributing to consolidation in the industry and therefore the time was ripe for a generational change
- Uffe Lønborg Rasmussen, haulier
All employees in U.L.R. Transport will continue at Dantra, and Uffe Rasmussen himself will take on a role as operations manager on Zealand. With the sale to Dantra, he is committed to ensuring decent conditions for both employees and customers.
It has been important to me that employees keep their jobs and that customers continue to receive good service and quality. Our business will be part of Dantra's continued expansion and the acquisition will provide new opportunities for customers. Dantra is a well-established company offering a very wide range of services.
- Uffe Lønborg Rasmussen
Dantra A/S gets a new domicile in Køge, with a brand new office, workshop and driver facilities at Servicegården, Unionsvej 1 in Køge.
The workshop will service Dantra's own car fleet and Køge will in the future be Dantra's permanent logistics center on Zealand.

As a freight forwarder trainee, I have been allowed to work very independently and with great responsibility from the very beginning of my traineeship.
My experienced colleagues provide me with good training and lots of support.
I find the job as a freight forwarding trainee both varied and exciting, as no two days are the same. You will also quickly see the results of your work.
I am challenged daily by customers to find the most optimal transport solutions for them. I find that exciting.
In addition to the many coordinating tasks, you will also learn a lot about the rules to be respected in different countries and become proficient in geography.
