At Dantra, CSR is an inherent part of our DNA. Dantra is a family-owned company where we genuinely care for each other.
How do we specifically work with CSR?
At Dantra, we have several dyslexic employees, flex jobbers, employees with foreign backgrounds, as well as employees with special needs or limitations. We believe that employees with special needs or limitations can deliver high quality work and, importantly, experience personal happiness. We hire both young and adult apprentices/interns for both office and vehicle positions, finding great satisfaction in educating individuals. We collaborate with the local job center when seeking new skills for the company. In our annual employee satisfaction survey, we can see that each employee takes pride in being employed at Dantra.
Focus areas regarding driver safety
When purchasing new trucks, we always ensure a high level of safety and driver comfort. For example, all our trucks are equipped with alcohol locks and are sealed to drive a maximum of 80 km/h in Denmark and 85 km/h in the rest of Europe. This way, we help each other have a safer and more comfortable everyday life, both for our drivers and those we encounter on the roads.
Which organizations do we support?
At Dantra, we support organizations such as the Danish Cancer Society, Blå Kors, and Danish Hospital Clowns. This is valuable to us because these causes are close to our hearts. Additionally, we sponsor local handball and football clubs, recognizing the significant value that local sports hold in Denmark.
Social responsibility involves indirect parameters
The transportation industry is a major contributor to CO2 emissions. At the same time, as a transport company, we have a significant societal responsibility to ensure fresh supplies on the shelves for various industries. However, we cannot ignore the fact that we can and should do more to address the climate change we all face. It is important for us to contribute to ensuring that we can leave the planet and climate to the next generations – your children, my children, and grandchildren – in a way that maintains the same quality of life and beautiful planet we have today We do this for the sake of the climate, future generations, and also for the strength and continued existence of our company.
Where do we see the biggest impact?
As a transport company with more than 130 trucks, our fuel consumption is the largest contributor to CO2 emissions. Therefore, we have developed a plan to reduce our CO2 emissions. We continuously invest in our fleet, with all our trucks meeting the EUR 6 standard. In addition, we continually adjust our master driver concept, focusing on three selected parameters: cruise control, coasting, and idling, aiming to improve the driving techniques of our drivers.
